Dreams

DREAMS

I absolutely love this song!
So, what's a dream that nibbles around the corners of your soul? What is that thing that you can’t say out loud, even to yourself? What is that thing that seems so audacious, so out there, so far from the life you’re living right now, so scary? You’re thinking about it right now as you read this! You’re getting butterflies in your stomach and maybe even your heart rate has quickened a bit
And there’s a voice in your head, a gremlin. And it’s saying, “Don’t even think about that! You can’t do that! You’re not good enough. You don’t have the resources. You can’t possibly achieve that so quit even thinking about it.” Do you hear it? Well, guess what, sister! That gremlin is wrong! You’ve got this. If you can dream it, you can do it! I’m a firm believer in that. Dreams are given to us for a reason. The things you’re passionate about – you’re passionate about those things for a reason. There are reasons you get excited about the things you get excited about. Some of those reasons are the same reasons that you’re reading this right now.
I would love to talk to you. I would love to hear your hopes, your dreams, your ambitions. One of my favorite moments in coaching happens when a client pauses, her voice gets really low, and soft, she takes a deep breath in, lets out a little sigh, and then she says, “You know, I’ve never actually said this out loud before. I’ve never allowed myself to say these words, but what I really want is….” And the next thing that comes out is so incredible! We’ve hit that place of YES! I love getting to that place. I find it so exciting when a woman finally allows herself to voice her dreams!
So, what are your dreams? What are those things that you haven’t allowed yourself to actually say out loud yet?

Is Lemonade Really Better than Lemons?

I had a wonderful opportunity to walk through a field of dewy grass early this morning. The sun was shining, there was a light breeze, it was simply a beautiful morning. OK, so what actually happened, I dropped my car off for repairs and couldn’t get an Uber, so I had to walk a mile […]

Holding Space for Myself

Last week my therapist and I had an intense discussion about holding space. He challenged me with, “Aimee, you’re really good at holding space for other people, but how are you holding space for yourself?” I was completely flummoxed. I literally stopped and just sat for several moments. I had no idea how to answer […]

Opportunity

This morning I read Never Let An Opportunity Pass You By — A Super Quick Hack That Works by Tim Denning. I love this article for one basic reason. The encouragement to grab opportunity the moment it presents itself. I know I’m guilty of making a note, saying I’ll get to it tomorrow. Only to see that little […]

Self Care

Let’s talk about self care. Real self care. Not the bubble bath, walk in the woods self care. That’s great, but sometimes you just don’t have time for all that. Sometimes, the dishes have to get done, the children need to be fed. The husband needs to be tended to. Sometimes, there just isn’t enough […]

Seasons

You know that line in Landslide? “Can I handle the seasons of my life?” I love that line! It speaks so clearly to the doubts and fears all of us have. And it speaks so clearly to why so many women settle into their lives and never embrace the power that is being their authentic […]
